What happens when you bring a 6th grade boy, a 4th grade boy, and a sixth grade girl together to review a book - and they ALL LOVE READING? A crazy, fun time, that's what! This is a follow-up on Book Junkies. This follow up is to tell y'all what happened at the first KidChris Book Junkies Meet up. Everybody got some ice cream (and a little food, some of us) and we dove right into the book, I Survived the Joplin Tornado, 2011, by Lauren Tarshis. Somebody in the restaurant (my brother) said we were too loud, but, hey, we were kids excited about a book and having a good time - so we were perfectly fine. There was one thing that we were always laughing about - the world's ugliest dog! He looked like a mixture of a hyena and a dog - with a smile. We had a super good time.
